Your opportunity
Why Should You Be in the Room?
You will not be sitting through a presentation. You will be on your feet, working through practical exercises with a professional director and other actors.
Work directly with a professional director
Greg Francis is a film and music video director whose work includes the award-winning short film 1Up and videos for Dizzee Rascal and Little Mix. Learn how directors communicate with actors and what they look for.
Practise, don't just listen
Work on your script in small groups while Greg gives one-to-one guidance, then perform for the room.
Learn how to respond to direction
Get professional feedback and apply notes straight away with a 'Second Take' where time allows. Build confidence making choices and adapting your performance.
Meet other emerging actors
Work in a supportive small-group environment and practise giving each other constructive feedback.

- Meet the director and "The Director's Eye": what Greg looks for when working with actors
- Small-group script work with one-to-one guidance from Greg
- Performances with professional feedback from Greg and the group, plus a "Second Take"

- Q&A and industry insight: auditions, preparation and taking direction
- Learn how to respond to direction and take notes into your next performance
